OPPO Find X8 Series Gets an Added Closed Beta Card Section Following the July 2025 Update: Android 16 Based ColorOS 16 Coming?

An added closed beta card section has been added on the OPPO Find X8 series smartphone models following the recently rolled out July 2025 update. This could mean that the next ColorOS 16 custom skin based on the Android 16 operating system could be coming soon.
Here’s more about the update.
Next Android 16 Based ColorOS 16 Custom Skin on its Way?
As per this new update (received via @encoword on X), a closed beta card has been added on the Beta programme page of OPPO’s Find X8 series smartphones and this is following the July 2025 update. While the closed card clearly mentions that these are no ongoing programs, the listing suggests that the ColorOS 16 custom skin that will be based on the Android 16 operating system is possibly ready and is likely to be on its way. Subsequently, the OxygenOS 16 custom skin for OnePlus devices and again based on the Android 16 OS may also be coming soon (as per the source).
So far, only Google has rolled out the Android 16 based update to its Pixel devices, while Samsung has released the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE smartphone models with the Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin out of the box. Soon more brands will start rolling out the Android 16 update (with their respective custom skin on top) to its older and already-launched devices, whereas newer devices will be arriving with the Android 16 OS out of the box.
In related news, OPPO’s K13 Turbo series are all set to debut early next week – on the 21st of July 2025 in the Chinese market. However, this series is believed to offer the ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 OS itself out of the box, but they are likely to get the next Android 16 OS upgrade much sooner.
Stay tuned for more updates.
